Internal Server error in WordPress Website (500)
Situation
The client is seeing the 500 Internal Server Error.
Reasons
Generally, there are two reasons that cause this error :
1) The server’s PHP memory limit is exceeded.
2) A corrupted .htaccess file.
Communication to Client
Tell the client that this error is caused due to the above-mentioned reasons. In order to fix the issue, our development team has to create a new .htaccess file or have to exceed site’s PHP memory limit. Client's Hosting URL.
Client's Hosting Credentials (Username and Password)
Importantly: Verify the credentials then and there over the phone or via chat.
