Internal Server error in WordPress Website (500)

Situation
The client is seeing the 500 Internal Server Error.

Reasons
Generally, there are two reasons that cause this error :
1) The server’s PHP memory limit is exceeded.
2) A corrupted .htaccess file.

Communication to Client
Tell the client that this error is caused due to the above-mentioned reasons. In order to fix the issue, our development team has to create a new .htaccess file or have to exceed site’s PHP memory limit. Prerequisite
Client's Hosting URL.
Client's Hosting Credentials (Username and Password)
Importantly: Verify the credentials then and there over the phone or via chat.

Sometimes it becomes so tough to know the Client's hosting, therefore, ask for Hosting URL.To check the website information Go to https://www.whois.com/
